Terms of Service
Last updated 22 August 2026 · Version 2026-08-v1
These terms apply when you use Home Advantage HQ. They're written to be read, not skimmed past. If something here doesn't work for you, tell us before you sign up.
The one that matters most. Home Advantage HQ tells you what your schedule appears to require. It is a planning aid, not a guarantee. You are responsible for your children's safety, supervision, and transport — always verify anything that matters before you act on it.
1. Accounts
You must be at least 18 to create an account. Accounts are for adults: parents, co-parents, and caregivers. Children do not create accounts and do not agree to these terms; a parent does so on the household's behalf.
During the private beta, accounts can only be created from an invitation. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for what happens under your account.
2. Your household and who you invite
An account holder can invite other adults — a co-parent, a caregiver — and choose what each can see. When you invite someone, you're confirming you have the authority to share your household's information with them, and you're responsible for choosing the right level of access.
When you create a child's profile, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian and that you have the authority to consent to the handling of their information as described in our privacy policy.
3. What the app does, and what it doesn't
The conflict engine calculates arrival times, detects scheduling collisions, and suggests driving assignments based on the information in your account and the calendars you connect. Those calculations are only as good as their inputs. A club can change a schedule without updating a feed, a venue can move, traffic happens.
Home Advantage HQ surfaces what it computes so that you can decide. It does not make decisions for you, and you should not treat its output as a substitute for checking. Never rely on the app alone for anything involving a child's safety, supervision, medical needs, or whether someone is where they should be.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to collect information about a child you are not the parent or guardian of.
- Attempt to access another household's data, or probe, scan, or test the security of the service.
- Upload content that is unlawful, or that you don't have the right to share.
- Resell, sublicense, or scrape the service.
- Use the service to monitor another adult without their knowledge and consent.
5. Your content
Your household's content — events, documents, photos, notes, and everything else you put in — remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process, and display it in order to run the service for you.
You can export or delete your content as described in the privacy policy.
6. Connected services
Home Advantage HQ can read from Google Calendar and from calendar feeds published by clubs, leagues, and schools. Those services are operated by other people and governed by their own terms. We're not responsible for their availability or for the accuracy of what they publish. Read-only access to Google Calendar can be revoked by you at any time.
7. Beta
The service is currently in private beta. That means:
- Features will change, and some will be removed.
- There will be bugs, and there may be interruptions.
- We may contact you about your experience.
- Beta access is offered for a limited period and may end with notice.
Keep your own record of anything you can't afford to lose.
8. Subscriptions and payment
Where a paid plan applies, one subscription covers a whole household — both parents, all children, and caregivers. Prices, billing periods, and renewal terms are shown before you subscribe. You can cancel at any time and your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund partial periods unless the law requires it.
9. Ending it
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts other users at risk, or where we're required to. Where we can give notice, we will.
10. Warranties and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Changes to these terms
We'll post changes here with a new date and version. For material changes we'll give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
